All Waco ISD equipment that has been imaged and added to Active Directory is protected and managed by Symantec Endpoint Protection. Symantec's Endpoint Security family of products ensures that all endpoints in your organization's infrastructure are protected and "Symantec Endpoint Protection Wins AV-TEST Award for Best Protection 2017".
To verify that your computer is being protected, you can look at the bottom right-hand side of your screen and notice a yellow shield with a green dot. You will see this when this software is up to date and working correctly. If you do not see this by the displayed time on the taskbar you may need to click on the upward-facing arrow to expand the viewed running task(see below). If you still do not see this or if you pulled your computer out of the box and did the initial setup, then you do not have protection. Contact the Help Desk at ext. 2308 or submit a work order ticket.
Remember: Always include your name, location (campus/building and room), make and model of equipment, Service tag and/or Barcode, specific, detailed description of the problem you are experiencing. Without this information, there may be a delay in getting to your request.
