“In my new role, I will focus on ensuring that our schools reach high levels of performance to benefit not only our students and the communities they serve but also the dedicated teachers and staff who make them exceptional,” McAdoo said. “As I transition into this new position, I will

continue to fulfill my responsibilities as principal of University High School. I am fully committed to devoting all of my attention to our school community until the new principal is appointed.”

McAdoo replaces David Hamilton who left the district to pursue a career in the private sector. McAdoo will continue to lead the UHS campus until his successor is named.

McAdoo began his career in Waco ISD as the principal of G. W. Carver Middle School for four years before transferring to serve as the principal of Cesar Chavez Middle School also for four years.
