Welcome to Technology Services

Our department is dedicated to connecting learners, promoting digital literacy, and leveling the playing field for all students in Waco ISD through the ethical and responsible use of technology. We have made significant improvements in recent years to support the ever-changing needs of our campuses.

Mission & Strategic Priorities

Our work is guided by our core mission and four foundational strategic priorities for the entire district.

Our Mission

To align the district's four strategic priorities with the short- and long-term actions of the Technology Services department, ensuring technology serves as a SUSTAINABLE CATALYST for student, staff, and community success.

Waco ISD's Strategic Priorities

Priority 1: Students

  • Develop and implement plans, systems, and processes to support improved campus ratings and demonstrate accelerated student growth.
  • Ensure academic success for all students in math, literacy, and CCMR, as required by HB 3.
  • Create and sustain safe and supportive learning environments.

Priority 2: Staff

  • Recruit highly qualified staff and a diverse workforce committed to serving all students.
  • Train and develop all staff, in service to Waco ISD stakeholders.
  • Retain highly qualified staff and a diverse workforce committed to serving all students.

Priority 3: Community

  • Increase effective parent/family engagement opportunities to support student success and well-being.
  • Foster strong partnerships and organizations, business/industry, and higher education institutions.
  • Ensure district communication, marketing, and branding are strategic, targeted and transparent to improve public perception of Waco ISD.

Priority 4: Financial & Operational Efficiencies

  • Ensure strategic allocation of resources to effectively address student/staff needs.
  • Technology - Equip our educators, staff, and students with the technology and training needed to advance teaching, learning, and district effectiveness.
  • Facilities/Operations - Ensure well-maintained, quality teaching/learning spaces and operational efficiencies.

General Hours of Operation

Apart from emergency situations, our general hours of operation are:

Monday - Friday

7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
